I forgot someone!!!!

So, I went to this fundraiser bar night this week to Touchdown cafeon campus. It was on an invitation by Serge. I met some of his friends there. There was Drew, who was working in the Toyota Technical center in Ann Arbor, and went to CMU with Serge. Then there was a Becky person, whom I have no idea what she does in life. Then there was this girl, who did seem to be big on conversations. I remember stuff that we spoke about, what she does and everything. Like I know she works in Raytheon, doing her masters' in IOE, lived in Boston, has a friend from Morrocco (I still dont know why that came up in the conversation!!), and such randon stuff. I also slightly remember her face, but I doubt if I see her in the school or somewhere, I will recognise her again. But the strangest thing is, I just don't remember her name!!

And this is strange, since I never ever forget anyone. I remember people even if I have met them for just a minute or two. I have terrific memory when it comes to remembering people. But this person, I just cannot remember. And I was not drunk or anything. So this is definitely the first time it has ever happened with me. So I thought I should make an entry about it.

I guess its too bad considering that I haven' met too many new people in the recent past. Maybe I am just too distracted with work or something. Was this an exception? Or will it happen more frequently in the future??? Only time will tell.

Conversation with Bus chick

Me: (with smile) "Good morning!"

Her: "Excuse me?"

Me: "I said weather wise, it was a good morning, considering it is middle of November and all."

Her: "Oh yes. It is lovely"

Me: "So you a grad student too?"

Her: "Yes, in the Dow building"

Me: "Great! I am sorry but I got to rush here. Do you wanna have lunch together some time in the Cafeteria?"

Her: "Sure!"

Me: "Alright, see you sometime! Bye!"

Her: "Bye!"

Amazing, hai na???

Bhaya Ithle Sampat Nahin

Today I remembered the miraculous rendition of "Bhaya ithle sampat nahin" in Somaiiya college Light Music Competition. The sweetest chick ever with the most divine voice!!! Gosh how I would like to meet her again. I dedicate this post in her memory and that amazing performance.

Feels like Deja-Vu

This one is funny. It was fall break today and she and I were the only ones who got down at pierpont. We walked all the way with less than a yard distance in between, and she seemed pretty hostile, not making eye-contact on the usual door-routines.

Then somewhere near the Groundworks, I made a casual remark, "almost feels like Deja-Vu".. it was like a fragrance hanging in the air, but only dint invoke any reaction what-so-ever from her. She kept on going at her usual hare's pace. Too bad!!!! I felt embarrased and took another route out of hers.

Alas!! When will I bolster the courage to speak up to these women!!!!!

Owner of a lonely heart!

This weekend was heart breaking for my poor heart. I met someone attractive over the weekend during the Michigan-Purdue game (cracker of a performance by Chad!!! hurray!!). And it was birthday weekend and all, so was in high spirits, unlike the rest of my life these days.

So coming to the point, I met this someone, and she seemed reasonably attractive. We had some good laughs and girup wali conversations, but when I tried to turn the pedal onto personal getting to know each other, I dint get a very favorable response. I asked her where she was from in india and stuff, but dint get more than monosyllable answers. Then there was akshay-annoyance which must have repelled her from the group. Then there was obnoxious M and K. And i am sure, varun must have felt wierd too.

Two chances where I thought I should have made my move were when she came back into the game after half-time. Unfortunately I was on the phone listening to Vatsal's stupidity, so could reciprocate her enthusiasm. Then next when she went to sit with her MBA friends, but came back cause of some irritating fellow, I dint feel the need to interfere and ask her why she came back.

But I kept thinking about her all weekend and even on monday, mentioned her to Kris. Man am I lame!!!

I was able to find out that she is from Delhi (thanks to her) and that she did her BTech from IIT Mumbai (thanks to LinkedIn), and that she did it in Mech (thanks to Kris). But things look too loosely threaded. There is no reason why I would see her again. Sigh!!! Poor Heart. Lets see how long it takes you to heal on this one.
